Naomi Osaka is finally close to being back to competition after she took a rather long break following her demise in the quarterfinals at the Miami Open.
Originally, Naomi Osaka was meant to start her clay-court season in Europe at the tournament in Stuttgart. However, she decided to skip the event in Germany so as to be back only on the occasion of the Madrid Open.
The organization of the Madrid Open posted some pictures featuring Naomi Osaka training hard on the court. It seems that she’s trying to get used more and more to the peculiar footwork that is required on the dirt. Naomi is used to playing on hard court since she was very young, but there is no reason to think that she can’t excel also on other surfaces.
