NOT INTERESTED. Tsitsipas compares rankings to school. Rublev next in the Monte Carlo final

Stefanos Tsitsipas explains his interesting theory about the ATP rankings

Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas is about to face Andrey Rublev in the final of the ATP 1000 Monte Carlo. The Russian sensation is now leading the (live) year-to-date rankings after overcoming Novak Djokovic. However, Stefanos Tsitsipas can surpass Rublev and Novak Djokovic if he wins the final against the Russian.

Nevertheless. during a recent interview, Stefanos revealed that he is not interested in the rankings. He said that rankings are like the school. If you perform well, your rank goes up. If you do not perform well, your rank goes down. Therefore, he is just interested in his performance.

“I don’t think about rankings. There is no reason for me to think about rankings. If I perform well, I’m going to get good results. It’s like school. You go to school; you study, do your homework.

When it’s a test day when you’re supposed to give a test, you’ve done all your research, homework, everything combined to write a good grade.”
