Cori Gauff and Rafael Nadal have no doubts: they want to be vaccinated when it’s possible. The young American had a Q&A session on Instagram and when asked about if she wants to be vaccinated, she replied that she has all the intentions to get a jab saying “I believe in science.”
Rafael Nadal also expressed his eagerness to get a vaccine. The King of Clay was particularly depressed, especially during the first part of the pandemic, and he believes that everything has to be done to stop this terrible virus.
During a recent press conference in Monte Carlo, the world number three commented:
“Vaccine is the only solution to go through the pandemic. We need to accept it. I know some people have side effects, but the coronavirus effects are worse. I will get vaccinated if I can.”
Some other tennis players such as Andrey Rublev, Diego Schwartzman, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elina Svitolina didn’t sound as eager as Coco Gauff and Rafael Nadal to get vaccinated. Novak Djokovic is also well-known and not to be a fan of vaccines.
As of now, the ATP and the WTA tours are just recommending their players to be vaccinated if they can.

Ranked no.35 (career-high), Cori played her last match on the 9th of April when she surrendered to world no.27 Ons Jabeur 6-3 6-3 in the quarter in Charleston (draw).
This year Cori has achieved a compiled 14-7 record. Cori Gauff’s best accomplishment of the current year was getting to the semifinal in Adelaide.
Nadal in Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, ranking, and results in 2021
Currently the world no.3, the Spaniard has achieved a composed 6-1 match record in 2021. The Spaniard is competing in Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters where he ousted Federico Delbonis 6-1 6-2 and Grigor Dimitrov 6-1 6-1.
Rafael Nadal will square off with the world no.8 Andrey Rublev in the quarter on Friday at 4:30 pm on COURT RAINIER III. Their actual head to head record is 2-0 for Nadal.
