Amanda will face fellow American Shelby Rogers in the second round. After beating Magdalena in the first round, Amanda was asked why she is has been performed so well on clay courts. The American replied:
“I think it just really suits my game well. I get the extra time on my shots. I actually grew up playing on hard courts so it’s kind of interesting why I like playing on. I just always played well and I’m really excited for this clay season.”
