Super Haas defeats Dimitrov to reach the semifinal in Washington

We had a high quality quarter final in Washington as veteran Tommy Haas defeated in a double breaker Grigor Dimitrov.

Tommy was coming from a very tough week as the day before he had to win a couple of tricky 3 setters to play more than 4 hours. Today the German was up to the task to win this match in almost 2 hours.

Both Tommy and Grigor didn’t concede a single break in the entire match. The Bulgarian blasted 15 aces to fail to convert all 5 break points saved by Tommy. Match Stats

Haas: I did the right things at the right time

“It’s always great to win and to play against somebody that I think is going to do a lot of damage in the future. He’s a very talented young player. Playing two good tie-breaks, doing the right thing and the right time, feels good,” said Tommy
