Bianca Vanessa Andreescu is ready to start over at the Miami Open and challenge Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka, arguably the top favorites of the title.
Bianca is eager to get back to her glorious past when in 2019 she seemed to be unbeatable, especially after she conquered an inspirational US Open, beating Serena Williams in an epic final. Unfortunately, Bianca had to deal with a series of injuries that, coupled with the global pandemic, sidelined her for more than 1 year.
Bianca was eager to bounce back in style this year, but eventually she crashed out in the 2nd round of the Australian Open before losing in the semifinal in the following tournament in Melbourne.
Therefore, Bianca decided to skip the Middle East swing and comeback for the Miami Open, where she hopes to have a deep run. Andreescu played the Miami Open only on 1 occasion in 2019 when she had to withdraw when she was facing Anette Konaveit in the 4th round.
Andreescu posted a nice picture on Instagram with the message: “@miamiopen I’m ready for you.”
