After the Sharapova’s marathon (the Russian won in 3 hours and half), Federer started his match well after midnight.
Despite the time, the Swiss Maestro was not sleeping at all. Federer had one of his trade mark matches filled of ‘ohhhhhhh shots’.
The entire match (especially the second set) looked like it was an exhibition were the superiority of the Swiss was overwhelming.
Eventually the match result was 6-3 6-1 in 52 minutes and.. time to go to sleep…
Federer will play the next round against Simon. The Swiss usually struggle against the Frenchman…
If he wins, there are chances we are going to watch another Federer – Nadal classic.
