Naomi Osaka’s sister Mari retires from tennis

Serena Willams sister Mari decides not to play tennis at a professional level anymore.

Naomi Osaka With Her Sister Mari

Naomi Osaka has started playing tennis with the initial aim of beating her beloved sister Mari that has been a key figure in her professional and private life. However, Mari hasn’t achieved Naomi’s greatness to achieve a world no.280 high-rank (that is not that bad). Therefore, at 24 years of age, Mari decided to make a move and retire from the sport.

Maris posted the following statement on Instagram:

I am retired from playing tennis. It was a journey which I didn’t enjoy ultimately but I’m grateful for all the memories and support I’ve gained and received over the years from the sport. I’m moving on now so you can look forward to new fun projects upcoming in the future.

Al the best to her for the future projects.
