Muguruza Losing To Kvitova In Doha

Garbine Muguruza has just lost the final 6-2 6-1 in Doha to an inspired Petra Kvitova after playing a rather disappointing match compared to her stellar standards. The former world no.1 will try to bounce back in Dubai, where she is seeded no.9. Muguruza will face Irina-Camelia Begu in her opening match on Monday at 7 pm (estimated) on Centre Court.

Talking about her final against Kvitova, Garbine commented:

“It is difficult to play against her because she has very good shots. I have not felt well from the beginning. My shots did not mark the dominance of the point and I was behind on the scoreboard quickly.

Of all the matches I have played this week, it has been the worst in terms of quality. It is true that the lower-quality matches are coming in the final rounds.”
