Naomi Osaka has just won her 4th slam at the Australian Open after a very mature match against Jennifer Brady. The Japanese sensation managed to win the tournament after she was able to save 2 consecutive match points against Garbine Muguruza in the 4th round.
Naomi had the luxury of having the entire team with her in Melbourne, but she didn’t have her family with her given the restrictions. However, Naomi’s boyfriend Cordae didn’t miss the chance to celebrate his girlfriend with a nice post on Instagram calling her “The One.”
The boyfriend’s controversy
This was a lovely message for Cordae that last year sparked big controversy following his behavior after Naomi won the US Open. The American rapper looked to be too focused on leaving his mark during that day. Besides wearing a controversial “Defund the Police” shirt, he showed the middle finger in some pictures with Naomi carrying the trophy. That looked to be in stark contrast with Naomi’s personality and many looked at it as an insult to Kobe Bryant. In fact, after the presentation, Naomi was wearing the jersey of the basketball legend that tragically passed away earlier in the year.
