Novak Djokovic and Aslan Karatsev are going to face off in the first semifinal of the Australian Open on Thursday. The Serbian champion has faced many different situations in his career, but he has never experienced the evacuation of the crowd during his matches.
This is what happened when he was playing against Taylor Fritz in the 3rd round in Melbourne on Friday. The crowd had to leave the stadium at 11.30 pm in order to comply with the curfew that would have been enforced after 30 minutes.

Now the world no.114, Karatsev has managed to achieve a composed 8-0 record in 2021. The Russian is competing at the Australian Open where he bested Gianluca Mager 6-3 6-3 6-4, Egor Gerasimov 6-0 6-1 6-0, Diego Sebastian Schwartzman 6-3 6-3 6-3, Felix Auger Aliassime 3-6 1-6 6-3 6-3 6-4 and Grigor Dimitrov 2-6 6-4 6-1 6-2.
Aslan Karatsev will play Djokovic in the semifinal. They have never competed against each other so far in top tournaments.
