Eugenie Bouchard is among the players that remained starved for tennis in this first part of the season. The Canadian sensation failed to qualify for the Australian Open and that means that she missed the opportunity to play the first slam of the year alongside all the other annexed tournaments.
Genie had to go back to North America to get ready for the next steps. She just announced that she will compete in the upcoming WTA event in Guadalajara, where she will challenge the likes of Sloane Stephens, Marie Bouzkova, and Nadia Podoroska in the main draw.
This is Genie’s announcement.
