Bianca Andreescu is almost ready to get back to competitions after 15 months finally. The Canadian sensation was sidelined for so long by a knee injury followed by the global pandemic and then a foot injury.
In the meantime, the world no.8 has worked hard to reinforce her body to avoid other physical issues.
Bianca was widely expected to play in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of January as she was training for long in the Region. However, she decided to skip the WTA500.
Later, Andreescu disappointed her fans again when she also skipped one of the WTA500 events that are preceding the Australian Open. Finally, it seems that the date of Bianca’s comeback is getting closer and closer as she will definitely play the major Down Under.
Bianca posted a video to reassure her fans that she is in great condition and ready to roll in Melbourne.

Andreescu at the Australian Open
Curiously, Bianca doesn’t have a long history at the Australian Open. Andreescu ascent started “only” after the 2019 Australian Open where she reached just the 2nd round after she started her campaign from the qualifications.
In 2018, she was badly dismissed by Dulghero in the first match of the qualifications with a resounding 6-1 6-1.
Bianca didn’t play the first major of the year because of her knee injury.
Therefore, 2021 will be an all-new thing for her in Melbourne.
