After 8 years Jelana Dokic won her first WTA title and 37.000US$
The Australian won 2-6 7-6 (7) 6-4.
Dokic, former world nr.4, (now world 97) is in incredible form an it proved it by beating 2010 Roland Garros winner Francesca Schiavone in the first round.
After the match she commented ‘I played for one point at a time. She (Safarova) made some unforced mistakes and I really exploited on it,’.
Then she aded ‘I am happy to be in the WTA final. It is a fantastic to win the title and the players I beat.’
