Naomi Osaka routs Alize Cornet 6-2 6-2 in the 2nd round in Melbourne on Tuesday after playing a good match to play Katie Boulter in the 3rd round.
I was nervous
Naomi didn’t play a single match since she won the US Open for more than 4 months. After the match, she admitted that she was nervous to comment:
“Actually I was nervous the entire match. There were moments where it was less and there were moments where it was more, but I felt like I was really, really nervous just going, like walking onto the court.
Even until the very last point, I think I was just thinking — I don’t know, the first match you come back and especially in a Grand Slam environment, it’s definitely very hard.”
