We have a good line up at the 2013 semis in Sydney as Radwanska and Li Na join Kerber and Cibulkova in the final four.
Radwanska – Vinci 6-4 7-5
Another good performance from the Pole that had to battle against the solid Italian. It took 1 hour and 34 minutes to defeat the combative Italian that was definitely not outplayed by the world no.4.
Eventually Radwanska won a total 81 points compared to Vinci’s 76, so no much between the two.
“I already had a lot of good matches before Australian Open, so I’m very happy about that; that I could play my best tennis from the beginning of the year. I can’t complain,” Radwanska said
Li Na – Keys 4-6 7-6 (2) 6-2
This was a tough 2 hours and 20 minutes battle. Li Na had a very hard time to play the 17 years-old American.
“I was shocked the way she plays,” Na said. “She has a huge serve and she had me way back (in the court). I tried to play a bit more aggressive.”
We may have a new interesting player on tour…
Radwanska – Li Na
Head to head is 4-3 for Li Na. The Chinese seems to be completely superior on hard courts to lead 4-0. Last year she won 3 matches on the hard surface with the Pole without losing a set. All matches have been playerd in quarter finals in Montreal (6-1 6-1), Cincinnati (6-1 6-1) and in Beijing (6-4 6-2).
Kerber – Cibulkova
In the other semis Cibulkova leads 2-0 against Angelique Kerber that seems to be the favorite.
