Maria is trying again to get the title in Pattaya..
The Russian was beaten in 2012 by Hantuchova in the final, this year she seems to be the hot favorite as both Ivanovic and Hantuchova crashed out.
On Friday Maria defeated Vesnina in a tough 2 set match 7-6 (6) 6-3 in 2 hours and 10 minutes.
The Russian beauty will play Sorana Cirstea in the semifinal as the Romanian breezed past Anastasija Sevastova 6-3 6-0 in just 56 minutes.
Head to head is 2-2, but Kirilienko won the last 2 matches. Interesting enough these two played the semifinal in Pattaya also last year when Kirilenko won a tough match 6-2 5-7 6-4.
In the other semifinal Lisiki (5-7 6-3 6-2 to Erakovic) will play surprising Bratchikova (unseeded and ranked no.127) that defeated Morita 6-1 3-6 6-1.
