Berdych, Rosol make history by winning a 7 hours match against Switzerland

Gosh.. that was an epic match… It took an astonishing 7 hours (and 2 minutes)  for Berdych and Rosol to bring the second point to their team in the tie against Switzerland. Only the fifth set lasted 3 hours and 35 minutes!

The Czech team won the match after they managed to convert their 13th match point, well actually that was a horrible double fault from Chiudinelli!

“I have never played tennis that long,” said Berdych. “I like it because I now have a new experience but we still need one more point, so let’s go again Sunday.”

Now the Czech Republic leads 2-1, but we are going to witness a couple of very interesting matches on Sunday. In fact, Wawrinka and Berdych will play against each other and that would be their 3 straight match after yesterday epic doubles… so everthing can happen.

In the other match Rosol is the clear favorite against Laaksonen (world no.289), but the Swiss is fresh (we can’t really say the same for Rosol) and he played a good match with Berdych to bring him to the forth set… so everything can really happen!
