No time for Roger to rest. After his early exit in Rotterdam, the Swiss went to Limpopo (a province in South Africa) to visit pre-schools that are supported by the Roger Federer Foundation.
Roger’s links with South Africa are pretty strong as his mother was born near Johannesburg. Federer spent some time with the children playing games, reading and helping kids to swing a racket (you’ll never know… he may find a a future champion!!!)
From Roger
“It’s very important to me to have the opportunity to do a trip like this… I’m very excited to see the help that the Foundation has provided over the years… Now that I am here I can see it for myself, which is very exciting.” he said
“The Roger Federer foundation supports this particular project because it is in the poorest neighbourhood in South Africa,” Federer added, “We feel these kids need the most help to succeed later on in life.”
Wonderful stuff!
