What a wonderful news for Singapore.
The City State is getting more and more prestigious sporting events. Few years ago Singapore was blessed by the presence of the Formula 1, now they got the WTA Championship for 5 years.

“Your sensational city, the amazing city of Singapore, has won the right to host the WTA Championships for the next five years from 2014,” WTA chairman and chief executive Stacey Allaster said to then define this as “the largest and most significant WTA partnership in our history”.
The Venue
The event will be staged at the Sports Hub complex that will be completed by the beginning of 2014.The venue has a 55,000 seats stadium with retractable roof, a 13,000 indoor stadium, an aquatics and water sports centre.
