A good result for Vika!
The match lasted a couple of hours. The quality was not superb with Vika committing 8 double faults (5 from Sam’s side) and both players being broken 6 times on 13 service games each.
Eventually Azarenka won the match even if she scored 5 points less than Stosur (83 vs 88).
So, we didn’t see a great tennis, but we are sure Vika is still happy about reaching the semifinals
Next vs. Errani
Azarenka will play the home favourite Sara Errani in the semifinal as the Italian took advantage from a retiring Sharapova. Head to head is 5-1 for Azarenka.
