It is interesting how players are reacting to the rather unbalanced draw we have in Wimbledon.
Djokovic has been the lucky one as all the other big 4 are in the other half, so he needs to fend off a couple of tricky players such as Tommy Haas and Berdych, but he has a clear upper hand on them. So he should be quite pleased that Both Roger and Rafa are far away.
Djokovic off course says that he doesn’t feel to be lucky.
Then we have King Roger that was rather unlucky to get his nemesis Rafael Nadal in his quarter. That means that to win Wimbledon he may have the improbable task to beat back to back Nadal, Murray and Djokovic. Not good…
Roger doesn’t seem to be too worried about it.
From Roger
“I like tough draws,I don’t shy away from them. There’s no control over it. All you can control as a tennis player is who you play and who you face. I have a very difficult draw with Rafa being in my quarter.
“My focus is on the first round. If you want to win the tournament here, you have to beat the best. That’s what I’m here for. I’m very happy to be back, no doubt about it. It’s always a privilege.” said Roger
First round vs. Hanescu
