The new season is about to commence despite the huge problems caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. The next week we will have the ATP250 in Antalya (not televised), Delray Beach, and the WTA500 in Abu Dhabi.

Matteo Berrettini in 2021
Currently ranked no.10, Berrettini played his last match on the 3rd of November 2020 when he was defeated by Marcos Giron 7-63 6-70 7-5 in the 2nd round in Paris (draw).
Jannik Sinner in 2021
Ranked world no.37 (career-high), the Italian played his last match on the 14th of November 2020 when he overcame Vasek Pospisil 6-4 3-6 7-63 in the final in Sofia to win his 1st career title.
Matteo Berrettini and Jannik Sinner have never played each other.
Reilly Opelka in 2021
Ranked world no.39, Opelka played his last match on the 21st of October 2020 when he capitulated to Taylor Fritz 7-65 6-1 in the 1st round in Antwerp (draw).
John Isner in 2021
Currently ranked no.25, Isner played his last match on the 30th of September 2020 when he was defeated by Sebastian Korda 6-4 6-4 2-6 6-4 in the 2nd round of the French Open (draw).
Reilly Opelka and John Isner played each other 4 times. The head to head is 3-1 for Opelka. Previously, the last time they competed against each other, Reilly Opelka won 7-62 6-75 7-65 in the 2nd round in Atlanta (BB&T Atlanta Open) in July 2019.
