Alexander Zverev has been embroiled in all sorts of controversies during this tough year. After participating in the Adria Tour, the German sensation was blasted by fans, colleagues and social media after breaking his promise to self-isolating.  Things became even more thorny for Zverev. Later in the year, he learned that his (now ex) girlfriend Brenda Patea was pregnant with his baby. Even worse, 1 day later, Sascha was publicly accused by another ex-girlfriend (Olya Sharypova) of domestic violence.

Apparently, Sascha’s parents were not happy about his relationship with Olya already back in the days. According to them, she was unstable and too focused on partying while their son needed not to be distracted from tennis.

During a recent interview, Sascha’s parents blasted at Olya. Zverev’s mother said that Sharypova was considering her as a competitor and she wasn’t happy when his mother was even packing his things.

“I told her things like that are normal in the family, but she didn’t understand it. Or the meals: If she was done eating, she would stand up and demand that Sascha go with her, even if the others were still eating. Maybe it was a small thing, but you noticed with small things like that: She’s unsettled, unstable,” she commented.

Sacha’s father commented about her different lifestyle to say:

“It was clear she had another lifestyle. Sascha has a disciplined lifestyle as an athlete, she was a party girl. She apologized. She was dumb and did a lot of things wrong and she would give anything to have another chance with his son. I tried to calm her down and tell her: life goes on.”
