The Spaniard had to go through a tricky match to defeat Pico Monaco in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Nicoals was particularly good at defending his service games to save 10 break points out of 10. The Argentine wasn’t as effective to drop his service twice after conceding only 3 break points.

“He had many break points and played really good, but I can rest now for a little bit and we’ll see what comes tomorrow in the semi-finals,” said the Spaniard.
“I played really good today and that’s the most important thing. I’ve felt great during this week and I’m going to fight to reach my first final here in Barcelona.”
