Sloane can’t really achieve another breakthrough after her inspiring Australian Open.
The young American has a (not good) 2-5 record after Melbourne to struggle to find her best tennis. This time she was facing Radwanska (not an easy player at all) and Sloane was even 1 set up. Then Agnieszka’s experience made her to win the last two sets dropping only 2 games. The final result was 4-6 6-2 6-0 after 1 hour and 39 minutes of play.
Sloane about her problems
“There’s no specific thing that I’d say has happened or is not happening, but I don’t think it really matters,” she said.
“I’m 16 in the world. I can lose in the first round the next two months and I probably would still be top 30. I’m not really too concerned about winning or losing or any of that, I don’t think. My life has changed, yeah, but I wouldn’t say I’m in a panic or anything.”
Next vs Flipkens
Radwanska will play Kirsten Flipkens in the quarters. Head to head is 1-0 for the Pole (Fed cup Match).
