Azarenka didn’t want to give any chance to the opposition at the beginning of the set after breaking Osaka in the 1st game (1-0). The Belarussian extended her lead after breaking the Japanese in the 5th (4-1) and in the 7th (6-1) game before winning the set.

Victoria couldn’t stop the opposition in the last 4 games of the set when the score went from 2-3 to 6-3. Naomi was extremely close to defeat when she was 1-6 0-2 down and Azarenka was on serve and leading 40-30. That was the moment that Naomi managed to really turn things around.
