The talented Spaniard will undergo chemotherapy for 6 months and she received heartfelt messages from all over the world, including Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Petra Kvitova.

Muguruza at the U.S. Open, ranking, and results in 2020
Currently ranked no.16, Muguruza has a 17-4 win-loss record in 2020. Garbine is now competing at the U.S. Open where she ousted Nao Hibino 6-4 6-4.
Garbine Muguruza will come up against Pironkova in the 2nd round. In the past, they have never square off so far on the main tour.
