Gasquet and Paire set up an all-French final in Montpellier

As expected we have an all-French final in Montpellier. The draw was full of French players that were also playing a wonderful tennis and the homecrowd will be delighted to see Gasquet and Paire playing for the title.

Gasquet had a tricky match against Nieminem to win 6-2 at the decider. Paire also won in 3 sets to blast 17 aces on 13 service games played (no bad!). Michael Llodra didn’t have the same feat to blast 8 aces, but to commit 5 double faults and win only 36% of the points on his second serve.

The Final

Interesting enough these two have never played against each other in official matches, but Gasquet is the obvious favorite. Paire can make it, but he needs to find some consistence in his game if he wants to beat Richard.
