Gauff explains how she defeated Sabalenka. Next Jabeur..PREDICTION

Coco Gauff was happy with her performance in Lexington even if her serve wasn't perfect. She will face Jabeur for a place in the semifinal

Coco Gauff And Aryna Sabalenka

Cori Gauff is having a great run in Lexington where she has just defeated the seed no.2 Aryna Sabalenka after a huge fight that ended in the 3rd set. The American teenager didn’t shine in the first set even if she found her way in the breaker. However, she got the right composure to win the encounter.

Coco commented:

“Just to stay calm and composed and make her play balls. My goal was to make her play as many balls as possible. I think my mentality pushed me to win. Were both playing good tennis, and had our ups and downs in the match. At the end of the day, it came down to a couple close points.”

However, Coco wasn’t thrilled about her serve to reveal:

“Everything was an ‘A’ except for my serving. I definitely served better in my first match than today, but you’re going to have good and bad days, and I like to go for my serves, so that’s the give and take. I think my serve today was more mental than technical. Towards the end of the match, I started serving better, and I may have been overthinking at some points.”
