Why the American was so upset with Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic had a fantastic time last week as he enjoyed the Adria Tour, an event that he has organized in Belgrade with some other top players.

However, one of the top topics of the moment is if and how the upcoming US Open should be staged. Djokovic has always expressed his aversion about playing the major following strict measures. The Serbian legend was particularly against the fact that the players could not bring more than 1 person along and they have to stay at a hotel near the airport.

Why Noah Rubin was so upset with Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic is the ATP player council president and he was unable to join a recent ATP’s Zoom call with almost 400 players talking about the US Open.

During a recent podcast, world no.225 Noah Rubin vented his frustration at Novak hat was seeing playing soccer in Belgrade.

“These pictures of him playing soccer have surfaced. You can make time for that but you can’t get on a Zoom call for 30 seconds? Stuff like that makes me fully aware of the logistical nightmare that is tennis and how there are too many moving parts, how it really is a lost cause in the end,” he commented.

Then the American added that if Djokovic wants to lead the council than he has to do it.

“Don’t put yourself in a situation where you are relied on. If you wanna look out for yourself, look out for yourself, this sport was built for that. But then don’t put yourself in a situation where others rely on you. If I can’t get in touch with you, if you aren’t helping me out, if you can’t get on a f***ing Zoom call, what is the point of all of this?”

Eventually, it was decided that the US Open wil be played pending the final OK from the government.
