Novak Djokovic was in supreme form at the beginning of the year to conquer 2 titles (the Australian Open and Dubai) after being decisive for his country to win the ATP Cup.
The world no.1 once joked (but not so much) that his goal was to end the season undefeated. Unfortunately, his great momentum has been halted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Novak’s coach Goran Ivanisevic is sure that the Serbian ace had a shot at winning the calendar slam this year without the Coronavirus outbreak.
“Not that he had a chance [becaus of the pandemic], but he could realize it. I sincerely hope that this Coronavirus will disappear. He [Djokovic] brought his body to a level when it is difficult for others to match, and his tennis in all segments was great. I think he was he had one opportunity to win a calendar Grand Slam. This, was that year.”
