Rafael Nadal is the uncontested King of Clay also and especially for his incredible record at the French Open where he has won the title 12 times. A very important milestone was when the Mallorcan conquered his 10th Roland Garros back in 2017 (the 11th of June) after demolishing Wawrinka 6-2 6-3 6-1.
Rafa was merciless for the entire tournament to concede no sets for the fortnight dismantling all his opponents in straight sets.
During the speech, Rafa also thanked his uncle that was the key of his incredible career since the very beginning.
“My uncle’s been with me since three years old. We’ve worked a lot and without him I would not have 10 trophies. One last thing, for me playing on this court I feel the support. I love you people more than any other,” he commented.
