Serena Williams had a rather prolonged quarantine. The American sensation started her self-isolation well before the other people as she thought it was a safer option for her and her family.

However, things have not been easy for her as many other people. Serena is a very active woman, not only on the tennis front but also in business. Eventually, the 23-slam champion was confined at home with her husband and her 2-year-old Olympia that is lovely, but still full of energy.

Serena had various ups and downs, but she managed to weather the storm, also focusing on her body. This is what Serena said during an interview with Yahoo Finance. The American also added that she had the idea of having some fun like drinking more wine, but that she was aware that that would have not been good for her body and her chances to conquer more titles.

“I really took out this time to cleanse my body. It’s no fun, and I’m like, I want to drink in quarantine too, but I also want to be healthy when I go back out and play tennis. I want to feel super good,” she commented

“Other people should think about it that way too because you never really get to spend this much time at home. You can really control what’s actually going into your body,” she added.

Serena is still chasing Margaret Court’s record of 24 slams. She has already 23 majors and at 38 years of age she is not giving up! There are now good possibilities that both the US Open and the Roland Garros will be played later in the year when tennis resumes. That will be a great opportunity to tie the Australian in the coming months.
