Kevin Anderson like Roger Federer has an operation to his right knee

Anderson knee

Kevin Anderson and Roger Federer have clashed so many times on court on all sort of surfaces. Unfortunately, this time they will endure a similar battle off court after both players announced they had an operation to their right knee. The Swiss legend revealed that he is aiming at being back for the grass season (or “stint”). Now it’s time for the South African to announce that he had surgery to post:

“Midway through December last year, during my off season training, I injured my right knee. I tried to push through both in training and on the match court, but it didn’t get better. I had scans done in Australia, and they unfortunately showed that I had suffered a medial meniscus tear. After consulting with medical professionals and my team we decided that having surgery was the best way forward. I had the procedure done Wednesday.
It is beyond difficult and frustrating to have to deal with this, after the setbacks I had last year. But I know it’s the right decision for me to get back where I want to, and rest assured I will do everything in my power to get there.
Thank you for all your continued support and I look forward to seeing you back out there as soon as possible.
Kevin”

Unfortunately, this is the second surgery Anderson had on his right knee. Kevin’s 2019 was heavily affected by this problem as he played just 15 matches during the entire season. Nevertheless, he still managed to win a title at the beginning of the year in Pune. However, he stopped playing in 2019 after losing to Guido Pella in the 3rd round in Wimbledon.
