Everybody wants a “piece” of Roger, but he is just a human being doing “superhuman things”!
The Maestro just came from a very intense tour in South America where in just 10 days he visited 3 countries, he played 6 matches and he met scores of personalities.
Some people said that that one was a sort of vacation, but flying accross the time zones, continuously meeting people, playing tennis and showing off an evergreen smile at every single moment… well.. it should be damn tiring.
The quick appearance
After the South American tour Roger got a flight to land 6pm in Switzerland, go to the cerimony, grab the award and then fly to Dubai (11pm) and join his beloved family.
Unhappy Athletes
Roger is such a personality that everybody wants a piece of him, some “face time”, discussion, autograph… whatever… also his fellow athletes, but there was just no time.
So Sarah Meier, ice skater, commented. “I wanted to get my sister an autograph, unfortunately, but Roger was already on the way to the airport. What a pity,”
Triathlon champion Nicola Spirig said that he was just after Roger soon after the show “because I really wanted a joint picture with my husband Reto, but Federer was already gone.”
As nicely commented by Snowboarder Tanja Frieden. “We are all Federer groupies.”
Time to rest
Apparently no one can resist Roger’s appeal… but for sure… he needs a break… to to go back to basic… to the beach… and rest…
… but carefull not to be buried to much 😉
