Federer elected the Swiss Athlete of the Year for 5th time

It’s Super Roger. It is very difficult to understand how this guy can handle all the pressure, the meetings, the cerimonies, exhibitions and still being at the top of tennis at his age and after all his achievements.

Brazil->Argentina->Colombia->Switzerland—–> Dubai

Roger has just finished his very succesful (and incredibly tiring) tour in South America where he played 6 matches in 10 days in 3 different countries (Brazil, Argentina and Colombia) and he briefly flew to Switzerland (arrived 18.00) to get this award to then immediately fly to Dubai (23.00) to meet his family… Isn’t it crazy?

The Award

This was the 5th time for Roger to win this award after 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007. It came after an incredible seson when Roger broke Pete Sampras’ 286 record (as world no.1) to bring it at 302. It all came after a series of incredible successes and his 7th Wimbledon.

“There is nothing more wonderful than receiving standing ovations in Switzerland,” Federer said . “I do hope I can continue to spark emotions.”

Good stuff… time to rest now… it’s Christmas!

Here the last point that gave to Roger his 7th Wimbledon
