Bianca Andreescu is on her way to recovery after sustaining a rough knee injury last year when she was challenging Karolina Pliskova in Shenzhen. Eventually, the Canadian sensation had to spend 4 months to rehabilitate her knee and get some decent fitness. She might be back to competitions already this weekend when Team Canada will challenge Team Switzerland in the Fed Cup tie.
About her comeback this weekend, Bianca commented: “I think there’s still a chance. We haven’t made any decisions yet but I’m hoping I can play. It’s really hard to just sit back again – and miss the Australian Open especially after the amazing year I had in 2019 at the US Open.”
