Nick Kyrgios and Alex De Minaur are about to take on Team Germany represented by Alexander Zverev and Jan-Lennard Struff in the Group F of the ATP Cup.
Nick is a great friend of Sascha Zverev and they have played many times against each other. They also love exchanging jokes and making fun of each other when they can.
Still happy for the 2018 win
Zverev seems to be full of confidence ahead of their clash. He also loves bringing on the memory of their Davis Cup win over Australia in 2018 to comment:
“We are the only ones to have beaten Australia in Brisbane, right? There are great memories from that week in 2018. I still remember it, and I hope we can take something out of that. We know that we can play well on that court. I hope we can show that again and not only beat Australia but the other countries as well.”
Sascha seems to have some more confidence for the fact that he has a great 4-0 win-loss record against Alex De Minaur that is his next opponent while Struff will take on Kyrgios.
I have beaten them multiple times. KYRGIOS
However, Nick could not refrain to hit back to say:
“We lost to them in a tough battle (in 2018) but the way Demon (de Minaur) is playing now, it is night and day compared to how he was the last time we played them,” Kyrgios warned. I don’t think they will like how many balls he gets back in this heat.”
Then Kyrgios added: “I have beaten Zverev multiple times and Struff.”
Group F is probably the most interesting of the competition with many upcoming players competing in it. Besides Kyrgios, De Minaur and Zverev, the local fans will have the chance to also witness some finger-licking matches with top Next Gen players such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Denis Shapovalov, and Felix Auger Aliassime.
