Stefanos Tsitsipas to stop his social media activity on Instagram, Twitter

Stefanos will take a break from the social media for good

Tsitsipas farewell from Instagram

Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the most promising and exciting players in the world. The Greek sensation is also well known for his vlogs and funny activity on Social Media (Instagram and Twitter). However, last year he already announced the intention to step back from social media as it was considered to be too draining. Stefanos is well known for his tendency to overanalyzing things, and his activity on social media was getting too much of his attention.

However, the Greek was back during the offseason when he gifted his fans with many posts regarding his trips all over the world (Iceland, Greece, Cyprus, Oman etc. etc.).

Recently, his dear friend Marcos Baghdatis was asked about Stefanos’ online activity and the Cypriot confirmed that he expected the world no.6 to take a break again as soon as the new season was about to start.

Punctually, Stefanos bid farewell on Instagram posting the following message: “It was great spending some time here on Instagram. I’ll see you another time! Bye bye! ##SOCIALMEDIADETOX.

Talking about Stefanos, Baghdatis commented:

“I think he needs to improve his out of the court life,  (having)more friends and be more relaxed. He needs to have a life outside of the court because at one point it can catch you.

He doesn’t think about anything else. It’s tennis and nothing else, which is an unbelievable thing.

It’s a quality not to have the need of other people. If you want it and you don’t have it, it’s not good. But maybe he doesn’t want it. It’s an unbelievable quality to have as a professional tennis player”.

Tsitsipas and the ATP Cup

The Greek is about to commence the ATP Cup in Brisbane where he will face Denis Shapovalov on the 3rd of January at 10am. The head to head is 4-1 for the Canadian (included 2 events at junior level).
