Djokovic shows devastating form

Novak Djokovic had an inspiring first round in Wimbledon after demolishing the world no.57 Tennys Sandgren.

The former world no.1 was terrific especially on his serve to often hold at love; he lost his focus only in the third set after he was leading 3-0 when he was unexpectantly broken. Besides that, Nole had an almost perfect performance to win the match 6-3 6-1 6-2 scoring 37 points more than his opponent (6-4 vs. 57).

I served accurately. DJOKOVIC

Nole confirmed he was rather happy with his service game to comment

“I made him play a lot on his service games. I thought I served accurately. Quite swirly conditions. Difficult to play. The first match at Wimbledon. You always want to start off well. I’ve never played him before, so it took a little bit of time to kind of get used to his pace and rhythm. But just overall was quite solid performance.”

Next vs. Zeballos

Nole will face the world no. 126 (and clay court specialist) Horacio Zeballos in the 2nd round. The head to head is 1-0 for the Serbian that should have no problems in reaching the 3rd round.
