Tsitsipas is becoming a star in Greece

Stefanos Tsitsipas is just 19, and he hasn’t won a single title so far on the main circuit. Still, the Greek has drawn a lot of attention especially after reaching the final at the ATP500 in Barcelona.

Now ranked world no.39, the Greek disclosed that he is becoming more and more popular in Greece to say “Many people were talking about it and I had plenty of interviews that I did on big channels in Greece for big media centers.

It got people’s attention. There were some politicians who congratulated me, so I was very happy I got so much attention. It makes me motivated to do even better in the future and become even more popular. I hope to inspire more people to play tennis in Greece.”

Stefanos is about to kick-start his Roland Garros campaign today when he will face the world no. 213 Carlos Taberner. More happiness is on his way for the Greek.
