Djokovic concedes just 4 games to Dolgopolov

Novak Djokovic starts his Rome campaign in the best possible way after he defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-1 6-3 in just 55 minutes.

The former world no.1 looked at his very best especially in the first set when he left absolutely nothing to his opponent. Eventually, Nole scored 58 points vs. Alexandr’s 33.

Nole admitted that since he has rejoined with his former and historical coaching team, he feels much more comfortable to say

“The last three, four weeks have been better on the practice courts and in matches. Today’s match encourages me to move forward, and hopefully I can get a few more matches in Rome than I have in the last couple months.”

Nole will face a qualifier in the second round, and that could be either the world no. 74 Nikoloz Bashivili or the world no. 370 Filippo Baldi.
