Nadal ready for another fantastic clay court season

Rafa is fully fit and mentally prepared for the dirt

Rafael Nadal, the uncontested King of Clay, seems to be 100% ready for another triumphant season on clay.

The Spanish sensation hasn’t been able to participate or complete the last 9 events he was meant to play since Shanghai 2017, and he wants to get back in style starting from Monte Carlo where he has won 10 titles.

Rafa seems to be completely recovered from his injuries, and he has also impressed last weekend after he dispatched Phillipp Kohlschreiber and Sascha Zverev in straight sets during the Davis Cup tie against Germany without much struggle.

I am starting the 2018 season now. NADAL

Talking to the Spanish TV’s IB3 TV, Rafa commented

“My mind is on getting ready for the five upcoming clay tournaments which are so important for me.

I am eager to start playing, since I have only played one tournament this year, in Australia but I retired. It feels like I am starting not just the clay season, but the 2018 season.

I have won the Monte Carlo Masters 10 times, that’s a good number. But one more victory, why not?”

Seeded no.1, Rafa is the hot favorite in Monte Carlo. Let’s see if he can get another trophy in the Principality!
