Another day, another trash for Naomi Osaka.
The Japanese sensation concedes just 5 games to a rusty Serena Williams to storm in the Miami Open 2nd round. The most important part of the match against the American was when Naomi won 9 games out of 10 to reverse a 2-3 deficit into a substantial 6-3 4-1 lead. Eventually, the world no.22 didn’t have any problem to conquer the match in 77 minutes with a strong 6-3 6-2 scoreline.

I wanted to impress Serena. OSAKA
Naomi conceded another entertaining interview soon after the match to comment
“I was extremely nervous coming on to the court. Serena is my favorite player so playing against her was a dream, and I was very grateful, but it was even better that I was able to win.
I kind of wanted to impress her and I wanted to make her say “come on,” and I think she did, so I’m really happy about that.”
Just watched Serena lose, walk off court, straight into a car! Bye! @MiamiOpen #SerenaWilliams

Impressing winning streak
After this match, the Japanese is on an incredible winning streak achieved after defeating in straight sets former/current world no.1.
Next vs. Svitolina
Osaka will face the world no. 4 Elina Svitolina in the 2nd round. The head to head is 2-all, but it seems that the Japanese is going to make another upset.
