Kevin Anderson is the winner of the inaugural ATP250 in New York.
The South African had an extremely bumpy ride at this tournament to win all 4 matches in 4 sets and 3 of them at the decisive tiebreaker.
In the final against Sam Querrey, after losing the first set, Kevin had a great start in the second after he clinched a 5-0 before the affair went to the decider. The 3rd set went straight to the tiebreak (no breaks) when Anderson got an astonishing 6-0 lead before winning the match 4-6 6-3 7-6 (1).
This is Kevin’s 4 career title, he 1st of this season. The South African will now head to Delray Beach.
