Roger Federer storms in the Rotterdam final playing a very high-quality match.
The Swiss sensation wasn’t satisfied with managing to get the necessary points to be crowned world no.1 at the end of this week as he is chasing another record: 100 single titles.
In the semifinals, Roger had on his way a surprising Andreas Seppi that was playing a very good tournament even if the Italian failed to qualify for the main draw before having a pass as a lucky loser.
Before this match, Roger used to have a flattering 13-1 record against Seppi, but Andreas proved to be a tough customer from the very beginning. In fact, after being broken in the 3rd game, he immediately broke back to give hard time to the upcoming world no.1 before getting a 3-2 lead. At that point, Roger started to play great to conquer 5 consecutive games to win the first set and put his foot in the second (6-3 1-0).
After this stint, Andreas didn’t concede a single break, and the affair went to the breaker. Roger got a commanding 5-1 lead before winning the match 6-3 7-6 (3). The contest ended after 83 minutes.

“I felt OK today, maybe a bit heavy on court but I was aggressive. I started finding energy midway through the first set, but the start was tough.”
The final vs. Dimitrov
Roger will face Grigor Dimitrov in the final. The head to head is 6-0 for Roger, 14-2 in terms of sets.
If Roger wins the next match, he will have 97 titles under his belt.
