Thiem very close to the Australian Open quarters

Dominic Thiem is having a great Australian Open.

Ranked world no.5, the Austrian is definitely advancing off the radar also because he had a rather good draw. Dominic was extremely good in recovering from 2 sets down against Denis Kudla in the second round, and now he dismisses Adrian Mannarino in straight sets to get a ticket for the 4th round.

The good news is not over for Thiem that will have an extremely smooth 4th round (on paper) against the world no. 97 Tennys Sandgren, a player that usually compete only in Challengers. That means that Dominic has a huge shot at reaching the quarters where he is expected to face either Novak Djokovic or Sascha Zverev.
