Nick Kyrgios has a rather solid start of his Australian Open campaign after defeating Rogerio Dutra Silva 6-1 6-2 6-4. The world no.17 was perfect in his performance to break his opponent 5 times without ever conceding a serving game.

Soon after his 1st match, Nick commented
“I was very nervous coming out here, first match at the Australian Open.
I didn’t think I played as well as Brisbane, but hopefully I continue to improve and find my feet out here. A couple of years ago I made the quarter-finals here, and I’m just trying to emulate that and maybe go a little bit further.”
Next vs. Troicki
Nick will face Viktor Troicki in the 2nd round. The head to head is 1-0 for the Australian that has demolished the Serbian last year in Montreal (6-1 6-2).
