Juan Martin is seeded no.2 in New Zealand where he has a bye to start the competition from the 2nd round. His opponent should be Denis Shapovalov that will face a qualifier in the 1st round. Denis and Juan Martin have already played each other once last year in Montreal when Shapovalov defeated the Argentine in straight sets 6-3 7-6 (4).
